Captian America

There seems to be a colorful assortment of movies coming out in 3D lately. It also seems that Marvel comics is growing in popularity on the cinematic scope too. It also seems that Marvel comics is growing in popularity on the cinematic scope too. Well then it should be no surprise to people that one of the most loved comic book heroes finally makes his cinematic debut. What a surprise this film was released in 3D. The character at the heart of this film is one of the oldest heroes around today. He visits us all the way from WW II. It is heart that is the real hero here. This is the story brought to life of a scrawny little noting would be soldier that want nothing more than save the day. The man in question is Steve Rodgers. Steve is about three feet high and weighs less than this keyboard. His heart is larger than the internet and the heart of a solder is what really counts right. Or is it he size of his biceps I forget which. Anyway this movie is about him and how he went from private Rhode Island to Captain America. Despite the fact hat he resides in New York. Well start spreading the news, he is leaving today and despite the fact that he “knocked out Adolf Hitler over 200 times” it is not the Nazi warlord he is looking for but his nemesis is the Red Skull. The Red Skull is a former right hand man to Hitler and wants his name in the History books as well. He (the Red Skull) is out to end the world and only one man can stop him. Enter Steve. The thing about this comic book turned movie is it seems like more than a thin excuse for a novel. It is worthy of lore and legend. For this two hour climatic gem is colorful in many ways. For it is not the Special affects that griped me to this movie, or even the assortment of colorful characters. All though the lighting guns were sweet. (mad love ILM) It is the story line of this two hour portrailt that was so magnificent. Grade A

A note from an editor!

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for the time and effort you put into this piece, especially on a Saturday morning. I can tell you definitely took good notes of everything that was going on during the event!

We still have some work to do before this piece is ready to print. Your piece has a lot of information, but it doesn’t sound like a news article. What was the point of his speech/presentation? Why was he addressing this audience? What is Vanguard? What does the company do – who does it serve? You spend a lot of time narrating (for example, how he was injured), but did not report on the purpose of the event. You can maybe mention his appearance/joking about it in a sentence or two, but do not take several paragraphs to do so. Also, I like how you mentioned where the name “Vanguard” comes from.

There are a lot of spelling errors in this piece – make sure you proof read each sentence carefully.

I know I am getting back to you a little later I hoped, and I’m sorry about that! But if you have time tonight, please go through my suggestions and try to rework your piece. You can send me what you have tonight/tomorrow morning. Please bring a copy of it to the meeting tomorrow and we will discuss it further from there.

Once again, thanks for your hard work and promptness! Remember this is a learning process, and we are all part of the Waltonian team!

Talk to you soon!
