Superhero Movie

Ok let’s start of with the most obvious thing in this film. Or at least the first thing I noticed. None of these actors are big screen names. This horrific spoof can’t possible ever be a big screen successes therefore. Am I right? I mean seriously the big names are Brent Spiner, Pamela Anderson and Jeffery Tambor you cant get and more incriminating than that. The main character is Drake Bell from the Disney Channel I mean seriously he’s most known for playing a kid named Drake really! Other aggravating traits I discovered in the first few minutes of this Epic garbage heap . All the main characters names are alliterations, and they are really mundane ones at that. The main characters is Rick Richer. His entire first name is in his last name. That is really beyond annoying. I know this is be come to sound like another bitch session. (Jill and Judy) I will therefore get to the heart of the critique. (at last.) The acting is beyond bad at times and the screenplay deplorably written. The script is nothing more than a tired rehash of Spiderman and The few big screen actors such as Sara Paxton and Christopher Mc Donald are from smaller lesser known films no one as herd of like Spy Kids 2 and Aquamarine. While I did recognize the inside references the spoofs were aiming towards none of them hit there target. In other words I never laughed out loud once. I wasn’t even laughing on the inside. This movie was nothing more than a waste of my money and 75 minutes of my early morning. I’m only hoping that I can go back to bed and lie in slumber to undue the dullness I feel in my heart right now. I’ll give this Disaster Movie an F fro flatulence and the overly excessive use of it in on scene that stunk as bad as the movie. Grade F

A note from an editor!

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for the time and effort you put into this piece, especially on a Saturday morning. I can tell you definitely took good notes of everything that was going on during the event!

We still have some work to do before this piece is ready to print. Your piece has a lot of information, but it doesn’t sound like a news article. What was the point of his speech/presentation? Why was he addressing this audience? What is Vanguard? What does the company do – who does it serve? You spend a lot of time narrating (for example, how he was injured), but did not report on the purpose of the event. You can maybe mention his appearance/joking about it in a sentence or two, but do not take several paragraphs to do so. Also, I like how you mentioned where the name “Vanguard” comes from.

There are a lot of spelling errors in this piece – make sure you proof read each sentence carefully.

I know I am getting back to you a little later I hoped, and I’m sorry about that! But if you have time tonight, please go through my suggestions and try to rework your piece. You can send me what you have tonight/tomorrow morning. Please bring a copy of it to the meeting tomorrow and we will discuss it further from there.

Once again, thanks for your hard work and promptness! Remember this is a learning process, and we are all part of the Waltonian team!

Talk to you soon!
