The
plot of this film is the same as any other Steven Seagal film. Seagal’s character is in the wrong
place at the right time. The odds are against him. The baddies all have guns
and orders to kill, kill, kill and no one even the government so called intelligence
has any clue what they are doing.
This is beginning to
sound like a metaphor for my life. Amway I relent. This film is sweet because
of the cast of villains that are against him. Each is a recognizable face to
Hollywood and two of the three are recognizable marquee names.
Gary Busy and Tommy Lee
Jones are two of the greatest antagonist in movies today. Colm Meaney is the
third villain and has come a long way from his days on Two Star Trek Series.
Audiences may recognize the blonde, as Elliot’s love interest in E.T. Guys will
like her because she is a hot blond who pops out of a cake for a group of
lonely horny seamen.
The plot is
predictable, the action intense and the bad guys are all stupid and eventually
picked off. One note of interest though Steven Seagal has a note in his
contract that no charater ever dies in his movies so the creativity is stronger
and may appeal to all audiences whom don’t like violence.
