Kill Switch

If you want to a watch a movie filled with aggravating rapid fire action sequences, barley adequate acting and annoying barely two dimensional characters then you have hit the mother load with this worthless film.

While I wasn’t expecting to much out of a Steven Segal movie.  I was at least was hoping to not lose my lunch (or breakfast) while watching this deplorable mind numbing flick.
The opening scene was a flash back that was shot as is if filmed by a camera an with an itchy trigger finger.  A trigger finger on a make shift machine gun that is.

The following action shot was filmed in the same headache causing manner that just five minutes into this film I was reaching for some Advil. Come on people I didn’t expect much from this free Redbox pick . Yet I was hoping for some breath of reality, intelligence or plotline from this 96 minutes pace maker inducer.

I call it that because I feel as if I need a pace maker at 35 years of age after watching this piece of garbage. How apropos that his movie was released in October of 2008. A few weeks before Halloween in the year of our worst economic recession in decades. For this film was truly scary. You know like Halloween in law school.

I feel compelled to file for contempt of film after watching this horrific so called adventure film. Jill and Judy tell me these bad reviews are nothing more than bitch sessions on paper. Well let me tell you some thing. Avoid this film at all costs. It was deplorable, catastrophic and painful all at the same time. Do not rent this movie!

A note from an editor!

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for the time and effort you put into this piece, especially on a Saturday morning. I can tell you definitely took good notes of everything that was going on during the event!

We still have some work to do before this piece is ready to print. Your piece has a lot of information, but it doesn’t sound like a news article. What was the point of his speech/presentation? Why was he addressing this audience? What is Vanguard? What does the company do – who does it serve? You spend a lot of time narrating (for example, how he was injured), but did not report on the purpose of the event. You can maybe mention his appearance/joking about it in a sentence or two, but do not take several paragraphs to do so. Also, I like how you mentioned where the name “Vanguard” comes from.

There are a lot of spelling errors in this piece – make sure you proof read each sentence carefully.

I know I am getting back to you a little later I hoped, and I’m sorry about that! But if you have time tonight, please go through my suggestions and try to rework your piece. You can send me what you have tonight/tomorrow morning. Please bring a copy of it to the meeting tomorrow and we will discuss it further from there.

Once again, thanks for your hard work and promptness! Remember this is a learning process, and we are all part of the Waltonian team!

Talk to you soon!
