Bee Movie

Once again in america we try to personify everything. We’ve done it with cars, Insects, even houses. This movie is the cutest so far. The rather intricate plot will keep you interested. I guess bees are people too. I guess though from seeing this movie they are bees as well. The script is well written and excellently paced. You never get bored or anxious you are kept interested (mildly at parts) throughout the entire movie. There are even some quite interesting points in this movie. For instance the main characters full name is Barry B. Benson an Alliteration with three B’s. Larry King does a cameo where he spoofs himself. Chris Rock is a blood sucking misquote who becomes a lawyer and all the bee’s in this movie have just one job for life. THe catch phrase amongst the bee’s is there are no small jobs. Every bee must unlike every person must work their way through life. They are literally worked to death. The animation in this movie is amazing. Renee Zellweger voices Venessa Bloome. The main human and love interest in this movie. The graphics are so realistic you can actually look in to he dark green eyes and see her hair move from time to time. I as a 34 year old bachelor was actually attracted to her at times. Either I’m getting more desperate in my old age or the animation is getting more realistic every day. I sincerely hope it’s the later. This is definitely a movie to take your kids to see. They will be amazed and awestruck at the intricate plot in this movie. Jerry Seinfeld is amazing in the lead role but does not necessarily outshine any other actor/ actress or character in this movie. I enjoyed from beginning to end. The opening Dreamworks logo was unique as were the closing credits. I know this movie should get a B considering the title but i say it was better than that therefore I’m giving it an A. My highest rating. Grade A

A note from an editor!

Hi Matthew,

Thank you for the time and effort you put into this piece, especially on a Saturday morning. I can tell you definitely took good notes of everything that was going on during the event!

We still have some work to do before this piece is ready to print. Your piece has a lot of information, but it doesn’t sound like a news article. What was the point of his speech/presentation? Why was he addressing this audience? What is Vanguard? What does the company do – who does it serve? You spend a lot of time narrating (for example, how he was injured), but did not report on the purpose of the event. You can maybe mention his appearance/joking about it in a sentence or two, but do not take several paragraphs to do so. Also, I like how you mentioned where the name “Vanguard” comes from.

There are a lot of spelling errors in this piece – make sure you proof read each sentence carefully.

I know I am getting back to you a little later I hoped, and I’m sorry about that! But if you have time tonight, please go through my suggestions and try to rework your piece. You can send me what you have tonight/tomorrow morning. Please bring a copy of it to the meeting tomorrow and we will discuss it further from there.

Once again, thanks for your hard work and promptness! Remember this is a learning process, and we are all part of the Waltonian team!

Talk to you soon!
